Welcome

Hi! My name is Kika. Welcome to my page full of handmade greeting cards. I love crafting of all kinds - from scrapbooking, painting, to any kind of needlework (visit my other blogs, too - right sidebar).
Cardmaking is a special form of crafting - whether we're wishing someone well, inviting them to a party, saying thank you or just celebrate a holiday, there's plenty of occasions in life where a handmade card says it all. However, it might happen that new ideas can be hard to come by. That's where I'd like to help. Just make a coffee, sit down and look to my page for some ideas, inspiration or step-by-step tutorials. Enjoy the time!

Tu by som chcela pomôcť.

Daffodils on Easter Card

This is an Easter card I created as a part of gift set for a friend. I've found an inspiration on a tissue I used for candle decoupage (see below). There was a beautiful image of daffodils which I freely drew with pencil and pen on a sheet of paper and then I made a digital stamp of that. That is the main motif of today's Easter card. The yellowish flowers I made by myself as well - from the white cardstock with the help of stamping inks and cutting dies (Sizzix). For the layout I used the sketch of challenge Nr. 348 on Sketch Saturday in which I take part as well :-)

The card has to be nicely packed, so I made a gift box for it. That one you can see below. I cut out the uncolored digi image and combined with the same papers and green paper ribbon as the card itself.

Material and Supplies:
cardstocks - green, white, patterned papers - yellow and green
dies - frame (Xcut), flowers and leaves (Sizzix)
digi stamps - daffodils and sentiments (mine)
other supplies - green paper ribbon, stamp ink - yellow and orange, paper cutter, glass gems, glue, scissors, craft knife, cutting board, foam dots, ...

  1. OH MY I am so impressed! You drew your own daffodil then created your own digi? Wow, wow, wow. I wouldn't even know where to start how to do that. Thank you for sharing this with us at Sketch Saturday. Great card.
