|Warbler and Magnolias, Birthday Card, 10,5 x 15 cm|
Hi! Few days ago I've got this awesome new image from FTHS and I couldn't wait to use it. The challenge Nr. 105 at FTHS seemed to be just perfect for it. It was a sketch with a funny twist - to make it fast :-) So I did! I colored the image with watercolor pencils and water brush in less than 3 minutes (this technique is great, you don't have to wash your brush and the result looks like true watercolor painting), then I embossed two of the matting papers, cut out the image, sentiment and glued all nicely together!
With a telephone call from my hubby it took me about 20 minutes. I always spend a lot of time thinking about papers and colors, matching them together. This time, thanks to color of magnolia on the image, it was clear. Violet or violet :-) I love that color anyhow, therefore it was very fast this time...
Material and supplies:
